What’s in a name?
Learn how we named our kids canvas swag
We believe that sleeping away from our own bed should be full of fun and adventure but also easy. So we created the Quambee Swag.
Quambee means good place to lie down, camp or sleep. The word is derived from the Woiwurrang people, the First Nation peoples of Wurundjeri country, now the Melbourne region in Victoria, Australia.
In Australia, swag refers to a traveller's bundle of personal belongings rolled up in canvas. And while kids canvas swags have been available for sometime in Australia, the Quambee offers so much more than a kids canvas swag - it’s a complete bed, with funky designs and even a secret pocket!
Whether it’s a sleepover at Grandmas, a camping trip, an extra bed at a hotel or your just looking for a kids canvas swag - the Quambee’s got you covered. It’s a complete, compact and cosy bed that rolls in or out in a jiffy.
While we are proud of our Australian name and heritage, we are also delighted that Quambee Swag is an international product. The Quambee Swag concept was founded in Australia, with design contributions from USA and Poland. The product was finally made in China, and has a US patent.
So just like a kids canvas swag, the Quambee Swag is a good place to sleep almost anywhere.
